January 8, 2011—True Colors, presented by Carol Lommen, of Take Action Seminars and an AAUW Member. Lunch meeting at Landry’s Seafood House.
February 12, 2011—Daliah Wachs, MD, local physician and radio talk show celebrity answered questions about women’s health. Lunch meeting at Landry’s Seafood House.
March 12, 2011—Chris Davies, PharmD, clinical pharmacist and nationally recognized geriatric pharmacy specialist, and AAUW member and Geriatric Care Consultant, Julie Davies, answered questions regarding medication management. Lunch meeting at Landry’s Seafood House.
April 8-9, 2011—AAUW Nevada State Convention at the Golden Nugget Convention Center, hosted by AAUW Las Vegas.
April 16, 2011—Convention follow-up, branch officer elections, and brainstorming for the 2011-12 year. Lunch meeting at Landry’s Seafood House.
May 14, 2011—Installation of AAUW Las Vegas 2011-12 Board Members. Lunch atRio Secco Golf Club.

Thursday, November 3, 2011 Funeral Services for Laura Lippold were held at 10 a.m. at S. Joseph Husband of Mary Catholic Church, 7260 W. Sahara Avenue. Burial Services followed at Palm Memorial Park – Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd. Laura was a long time member of AAUW and is best known for coordinating the Bridge Club activities and tournaments, which brought in hundreds of dollars for local scholarships. Laura, loved by everyone who knew her, will be missed. A memorial scholarship will be awarded in her name by the AAUW LV Branch in 2011. Laura Lippold
Saturday, November 12, 2011 11:30 pm AAUW LV Monthly Luncheon at Landry’s Seafood House. The speaker was Julie Liebo who spoke about about Medicare, Medicaid, Long Term Care Insurance, and legislations affecting senior care.
Tuesday, November 15, 2011 Chili’s Fundraiser Bring the AAUW Chili’s flyer into one of three Chili’s Restaurants and Chili’s will donate 15% of your dinner bill to AAUW Las Vegas Scholarship Fund. Receive a copy of the flyer at the monthly luncheon or download it from this site.

Saturday, December 17, 2011 11:30 pm AAUW LV Holiday Luncheon at Rio Secco Golf and Country Club for the Annual Holiday Gala and Silent Auction Members and guests enjoyed a delicious lunch, entertainment, and participated in a silent auction. Members brought silent auction items and donations for Safe Nest and Project Hope Charities.

September 11, 2010—How to Use Social Media with Breanne Davies, AAUW Student Member and First Place Winner of the International Tourism Students Conference Research Project on Social Media, and the Geek Squad Team from Best Buy. Also, a special memorial presentation for 9/11. Lunch meeting at Landry’s Seafood House.
October 9, 2010—Three Square Food Bank—cancelled
November 13, 2010—Mentoring Brainstorming Meeting. Members and guests spoke about memorable mentors in their lives and brainstormed about how we can mentor university students. Lunch meeting at Landry’s Seafood House.
December 12, 2010—Holiday Celebration at Rio Secco Golf Club, which included a silent auction and collections for the West Care Facility for Women and Children.
